Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association – the apex body of the machine tool industry in India - had established a Training / Technology Centre at BIEC, Bangalore with the active support of industries. The objective is to increase competitiveness, enhance efficiency, improve productivity of machine tool builders and the CNC users across the country, by providing technology inputs and state of the art training.
The Training / Technology centre is fully equipped with the latest equipments and other required resources to impart training in all aspects of machine tools and production technology. The facilities include production CNC machinery – CNC Turning centre & CNC VMC, CNC and PLC training modules, CAD/CAM solutions, cutting tools, Tool presetter, Setting Probes and other metrology equipments.
IMTMA Training / Technology Centre imparts basic knowledge and skills with competent teaching and training systems in line with practical needs of the industries.
The comprehensive training programmes address the needs of everyone from shop floor to top management personnel. A blended training approach involving theory and practical hands-on sessions is adopted for best-in-class effectiveness and efficiency.

Finishing school in Manufacturing Engineering
One of the major bottlenecks of the manufacturing sector today is the lack of availability of trained man power to understand, support and implement the latest technologies.
